It got real last night outside a nightclub in LA. Two members from rappers T.I. and Game’s entourage were beaten up badly by club security. Message got back to Tip and Game and both artist stormed out the club according to TMZ. Only issue was the rappers were under the impression the LAPD beat up their boys. Which is how the standoff started.

Last night 50 cent stopped by Hot 97 to talk to Funk Flex. While there he spoke on a number of topics like Jay Z vs. Drake and leaving Interscope.
On the process of leaving Interscope Records:
“I had communications with Steve Berman first, at Interscope. Then I had a meeting with Paul [Rosenberg], and he’s Em [Eminem], but I have to have the Em conversation after him [Paul]. So I talked to Paul so Paul could have his conversation with Em. It was a while, Paul had to see what I was saying happening over and over.”
It has been a while since we have heard any new music from Usher. He has now released a preview of his new single ‘Good Kisser’.
In an interview with Vulture. Rick Rubin tells how the inception of Def Jam was to help give DJs proper credit.
Even the name Def Jam—the reason the D and the J are so big in the logo was that I felt that the DJ was a very important aspect of this music. The inception of Def Jam was really more to me about bringing the DJ to the forefront and the fact that it’s the DJ and the MC together that makes hip-hop. It’s not just a guy rapping over an R&B track. That’s not hip-hop culture.
