Jay Z Talks To Governor Andrew Cuomo About Police Reform

After the Brooklyn Nets wore
“I Can’t Breathe” shirts in support of Eric Garner, Jay Z came under heat for not joining them with having a shirt of his own.

Little did we know Hov was the person behind getting the shirts to the players along with Russell Simmons and LeBron James. Hov has also provided  funding to Ferguson protesters and has payed the tuition of Sean Bell’s children, who was killed by the NYPD in 2006; as was revealed recently in a DailyKos.com article.

Yesterday Jay met with New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo to advocate a reform of the social justice system.

Director of Communications Melissa DeRosa:

“Governor Cuomo and Shawn ‘Jay Z’ Csarter had a productive conversation about doing a top to bottom review of the Criminal Justice system and how we can all work together to pass a reform package that ensures equality in the eyes of the law.”
